Today is blog day! August 31st, blog day, cause when you write it out “3108” it looks like the word “Blog”… it sorta looks like the word… kind of… maybe if you squint really hard… okay it looks nothing like the word Blog, but who cares! It’s BLOG DAY!
This day is dedicated to getting to know other bloggers. Here, I will recommend five new blogs to you, the reader. Blogs that are beautiful, amazing, inspiring and make my Internet life far more interesting.
Brittney Lee is an artist that loves to draw and loves chocolate. Her art pieces are an absolute beautiful use of paper! Inspiring and simply gorgeous!
A blog by an upcoming artist with plenty of talent, Melanie Tingdahl aka Melting Doll. Like her art, her blog is full of personality! I’m looking forward to seeing more great things from her!
I’ve spoken before about Kate Cosgrove’s work and am the proud owner of several of her paintings. Every time I walk by them they make me smile! I can’t help but smile! Something about her work evokes the child in all of us and makes us know that everything is going to be all right – even if a six tentacled, vibrant green octopus is sneaking up under your boat.
I’ve recently discovered the joy of paper-folding and no other origami web sites or blogs have held my interest or caused me more expressions of wonderment than Peter (wonko) Whitehouse’s quest to fold a new origami design each day. Look through his blog and try not to get the itch to fold paper, I dare you!
And now for something a little different. I don’t have any fancy images to show you here, but the power of this blog is in its well written essays and stories. The writer, Kenton Lewis, is a fascinating man! The type of guy you want to hang out with over some coffee (none of that fancy stuff, just plain coffee) and sit and listen to his stories all day long. You might not always agree with him, but I can guarantee that you will always be fascinated. He has a sharp wit and an intelligent view of this world that you rarely see nowadays. He is a man who thinks for himself and doesn’t back down from his principles regardless of what may come his way. Click the link to his blog, you won’t be disappointed.
There you have it! Five blogs that I’ve fallen in love with and I am sure that you will too! Click away and enjoy the fruitage of these hard-working bloggers dedication. If you have five blogs you like to follow, blog about them, or if you don’t have a blog feel free to comment on this post and tell us all about them – I’ll make sure the spam filter watchdog doesn’t get you!
